This was an amazing start to a three part series. I can't wait to dig into the next one!
I'm also happy this is getting a movie which is why I want to finish them all. I love seeing stories come to life on screen.
I love the way the author's descriptions of things play out in each character's perspective.
In a way, all the characters, minus a few in my opinionthe King and his ride or die guard , had things about them that I could relate to, to the point where you'd want to root for all of them in some areas.
I also like how every person had a purpose. I remember the names of characters from the beginning of the book that was only in a few chapters here or there, because they each had a moment of importance that trickled into the next one catapulting us further into the story.
It wasn't too heavy on an entire paragraph of words and thoughts before the next piece of dialogue. The flow of going from speaking to the character's inner monologue or thoughts, to telling the reader what actions are actually taking place here in the moment was nicely organized.
P.S. the audiobook is great to read along with the book in front (: they did a great job as well.
Can't wait to read what happens next.
