This book started so well. The narrative was gripping, and I found myself trying to work out what would happen but couldn't. It was great to get a story of Han set before the 'Solo' film. I liked getting to know Qi'ra more, and these books really focused on her. Her character development and explanation really fitted her role in the Solo film. In the film, I didn't really connect with Qi'ra, but this story made me care about her. I feel like I learnt a lot more about Rodians and found myself getting super attached to Tsuulo. Altogether, I really enjoyed the book. Unlike other YA fiction, this book didn't centre on romance but rather a friendship and what it meant for the group to work together.
