Green Lanterns #10 by Eduardo Pansica, Julio Ferreira, Blond, Sam Humphries, Dinei Ribeiro, Ed Benes

4.0

Part 2 of the Phantom Ring arc continues where Part 1 left off and Frank finally gets his hand on the phantom ring with the help of a cunning plan devised by none other than Volthoom .

While the main focus of the plot was on the kidnapping of Rami and the new Phantom Ring Lantern (?) the story also smartly managed to show certain other aspects of the story and portrayed them well .

It started with how saving a girl from a building on fire made the 2 present rookie GL question their reliance on the Green Rings, While Simon thinks that the Ring of Will just isn't sufficient enough for his needs , Jessica feels overburdened by the ring and still questions her worth .

Similarly the book also shows how corrupted a man can become when he is given the power he so truly strives for and desired . It shows how malign greed and stubbornness can be on one's will and true nature .

All in all its a stellar issue into whats turning out to be a fantastic story arc , the only true dissapointment is the art and had it been someone from the Green Arrow or the New Batman titles or Detective comics or maybe nicola scott from Wonder Woman than I'd be giving this title 5 stars but due to average and inconsistent art work 4 is the max I'll go to
