Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
don't wanna waste time anymore with books that i know i won't love and unfortunately, i just didn't feel any spark with this one. it was so strong in the beginning but then it just had a shift--idk if it was thematically or storywise but it just felt like something changed--so that was just something i couldn't really connect with.
i feel we had built up the relationship between her, the library, and everyone in it during the beginning of the book, i think i would've been more emotionally connected to this story and would've wanted to stay on. the atmosphere was so whimsical but also dark at the same time which reminded me a lot of the world in six of crows or harry potter. but then when the shift in the story came, unfortunately, i just couldn't care less 🥲
