This Is So Awkward: Modern Puberty Explained by Cara Natterson, Vanessa Kroll Bennett

2.0

Found via a podcast interview with the authors, which was great! So fascinating! But the book felt unnecessarily long and simplified. I would have preferred to skip the book in favor of a longer podcast or just an article. There were a few interesting tidbits - kids grow in their sleep! the hormones responsible for body hair and odor are unrelated to the hormones responsible for sexual maturity! - but I think this might be geared towards parents who struggle to communicate with their kids. If that's not you, you could just read the intro and first two chapters and more or less skip the rest.
