Your Fault
by Mercedes Ron
This book picks up after book 1, and Noah is finally 18 and ready to go to college. However, Noah and Nick’s parents are trying to separate them. This book very much entertained me, and the movies make it seem like Nick is not toxic at all when he is. However, in this book, you can see both Nich and Noah’s red flags. This book deals a lot with not communicating and everyone they know being involved in their lives. This book is very fast-paced. While the first book was more about Nick and Noah falling in love, this book deals with them being together, but someone always getting involved. This book is told from both Noah and Nick’s pov.
We have already met the MCs, so I won’t get into their backgrounds, but I can say that from this book, you can tell that their relationship is affected by their mommy and daddy issues. They never communicated well and needed good therapy. If they are able to communicate well no matter who was there they would have been a power couple. You can also tell by some scenes that they truly tried for their relationship, but just so much was being revealed. There were plot twists toward the end where everything gets revealed, leading to bad decisions.
SPOILER ALERT: SKIP THE LAST PART
Those bad decisions toward the last 10% of the book led the places where it brings us to a minor cliffhanger and the beginning of book 3. They break up. Nick kisses his co-worker, leading Noah to cheat on him with his therapist. Now they’re over, but they would get back together in book 3. Now, did I like this book? Not really, if we are talking plot-wise. But was I entertained. Yes. This book is easy to read so the drama never got messy to the point where you would forget it and lose your mind. It was messy in a way you will be like “ok, they could have prevented that”. I am watching the movie and will be reading book 3 because I have been seeing a lot of prego edits that make me curious.
