I did not come to fully appreciating this story until the very end.
The characters, settings & descriptions are all so rich and superbly imagined, however I never got a feeling of Nazi Germany with this book. Maybe that was the point or maybe I'm over analysing, maybe it just worked.
and yes I cried. alot.
