I gave it 4 stars. I enjoyed the book. Originally I watched the movie before reading the book which is like the forbidden rule but I didn’t know it was a book so I got them and finally read the first one!
Lena was edgy™️ and “not like other girls” as said by Ethan Wate when he first met her not knowing who she was at all but I did enjoy her character. I over all enjoyed the book and liked it more than the movie and the changes made from book to movie. I felt like there is more plot and room for development with the characters in the book as they differ from the movie. Also coming from a small town in South Carolina I’m able to relate to Ethan and his wanting to leave a small conservative town so that was good. I’m hoping in the next book there’s more digging into the caster worlds and the different creatures and powers. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
