I was expecting something a bit more like Pride and Prejudice, but instead, I was greeted with a father-daughter story, that was also a poor window dresser story, that was also a widowers story, that also incorporated a poorly timed Yuletide handsy. The purveyor of said handsy (the poor innocent window dresser whose main education of the opposite sex came from her knowledge of barnyard animals) didn't even know the true identity of the person she was giving said handsy to. But don't worry, they get over that misunderstanding super quick. Just in time for the holidays!! How many times can you use the word "erection" in a Christmas story of just over 100 pages? Maybe more than you think. God bless us, everyone?? Lol.
