Black Butler, Vol. 1 by Yana Toboso

3.0

Rereading after many many years, haha.
What I love about the Black Butler is how it starts as somewhat of a mixed bag of things but generally a comedy/mystery/action kinda stuff and you have no idea that in the future when the beat drops and it becomes one of the most complicated mangas you'll ever read. It has so many layers to it, it's just hard to pin down in any way, but I really love that about it. But, also this is a gothic story through and through and if you look at it through that lense, a lot of things kinda start making sense.
Anyway, I am excited to experience this story again.
