The Perfect Catch by Meghan Quinn
4.0

Walker Rockwell is catcher for the Bobbies and he has lost his love for the game and is the most hated player on the team. He has to work with long time nemesis Penn Cutler who is constantly showing up to games hungover. He is a PR nightmare and must now work with the events coordinator to help his image. The new event’s coordinator Kate Chapman is optimistic and loves working for the Bobbies but when she is assigned to grumpy closed off catcher Walker the two immediately rub each other the wrong way. Walker is rude and Kate refuses to put up with it. The two must are forced to hang out and get to know one another and after some events and time together they start wanting to see one another. Kate’s job has a rule though no fraternization with the players and as the two develop feelings for each other that rule becomes harder and harder to follow. She and Walker allow themselves one day together and then they distance themselves.

Walker was hard to like at first and I found this book slower moving at the beginning but picked up and I like ls that Kate got through Walker’s wall and was able to learn about him and his family and past. I thought Kate should’ve told Walker that her friend Dan was Penn but was happy there wasn’t a huge blowout. I’m sad to see the series end and I wish the other guys would’ve been featured a bit more in the last book.
