Verity by Colleen Hoover

Guys I just finished Verity and absolutely loved it and I have a theory…
⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️

The letter was never meant for Jeremy to read because if he did, he would disprove it 😭

If f the reason for Verity’s injuries is Jeremy trying to strangle her and she’s writing this letter so that he can read it…

as soon as he reads this letter then he’s gonna know that she’s lying because he knows he didn’t do that.

He knows he didn’t crash the car.

He knows he didn’t strangle her.

So as soon as he reads this letter he is immediately going to know she was just trying to cover up and the manuscript is true because letter was never going to work.

Even if it still got to him - he’s going to look at this and go “hang on, I didn’t crash my car into the tree and I didn’t strangle you, you were injured in your own car crash”

So he’s either going to read the letter and it is true and he’s going to be like “oh wait I did do that my bad”

Or he’s gonna read the letter knowing that that never happened and immediately know that the manuscript is true and she’s just covering it up with a fake letter because he didn’t do that stuff 😭

The letter was an awful cover up because he will immediately know if it’s true or not OR it was never meant to reach him because Verity knows he can disprove it immediately because he knows if he crashed or not.

Maybe I’ve missed something and maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t stop thinking about this 😂
