If there were half votes I'd go for 2.5 stars. I have read none of the Kate Daniels books and most reviews said I didn't have to so I went for it when I saw the library had it.
Good: Started strong and was readable. Loved the quips between the h/h. Really good feel for dialogue.
Bad: Too many fights and battles and strategery (spelled wrong on purpose) that made my head spin. Too many beasties and explanations for the beasties. But I liked the Elephant god. He was cool.
Question: What is Elara? I think she's one of those animatronic first ones they rendered in tiny animatronics on that episode of American Gods. You know the one. Kind of like a Rankin Bass Bering Strait Goddess?
