Abby Jimenez always has a good story! I loved how this novel centered in on caretaking and family dynamics. While there was romance, it also explored what other things in life can be important, which is so realistic! Sometimes you read to escape, and sometimes you read to expose yourself to more - this book doesn’t quite feel like escapism, BUT Xavier is a walking green flag waving so high in the air. My only negative is that he is too much of a green flag. Since we didn’t really see their love develop before the move, it’s hard to capture a deep love that happens quickly. This ended up feeling a little instalove for me.
