How do I even begin to describe this book?
I can’t get over how much I enjoyed this story. I knew I would like it, but not at the level I did! This book transported you back in time to follow the days of rock n’ roll of the 1970s. It’s good having knowledge of the time period because it helped me understand and enjoy the book a lot more.
I liked the way the story was written as the interview format giving a narrative. It was heavy, deep, and exciting. The story was intriguing and engaging. It made you feel in the moment of it happen although being told as a memory. It gave you an insight to the group, their emotions, the music, and those hidden secrets that maybe weren’t so secret.
I love these characters SO MUCH. They’re each so different and bring different personalities to the story. They’re flower and unapologetic for who they are and how they act. Even if you never have experienced what they did, you still could find yourself relating to them.
This was truly a powerful story that I can find myself reading over and over again.
