Love and Obstacles by Aleksandar Hemon

First print book finished for 2023. I picked this one up not long ago in the sale section of my beloved Unabridged Bookstore (always a good source for grabbing something on my TBR pile or making new discoveries). I was not otherwise familiar with Hemon's work. I enjoyed the linked story structure (even if I couldn't tell if there were some inconsistencies between the stories). I also appreciated Hemon and the narrator's background and a personal glimpse into the Bosnian War, a conflict I frankly don't know as much about.

Favorite stories include "The Bees, Part 1" and "American Commando."
