Nothing Like the Movies
by Lynn Painter
This book was an enjoyable sequel to Better Than the Movies. The author did a good job of showing how people can change during University but the characters fell a little flat to me. We were introduced to the main characters in the last book and almost all of the character development that the characters had, especially Liz, was all erased. Liz became "not like other girls". BUT SHE WAS ALREADY NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS. In the first book she stuck out because she was too girly and now she's "one of the guys". This change in her character made absolutely zero sense. The entire book felt like we were going in circles, rehashing the same argument over and over and over again. Also, it almost seemed like there was no real conflict which made the story drag a little. Overall I would give this a 2.7/5
