aaaaalyssia 's review for:
Anna Karenina
by Leo Tolstoy
It's really the type of book where you have to set aside any expectations you might have developed by hearing about it, because frankly, not that much happens.
For me personally, once I was able to set aside my personal morals and beliefs and tried to look at it with a more 19th century perspective, the story was quite enthralling. As I often feel, the main character is not the most interesting or lovable person in the book, but especially at the end you learn to understand her better.
This is really the type of book that you would have to read again once you yourself have gained more life experience, because I think that would change my perspective once more.
