The Christmas Murder Game
by Alexandra Benedict
2.5 it’s the country house murder theme, and it’s back, but this time it’s awkward. The winner of this year’s clue and riddle daily puzzle will inherit the house. An unlikely group is thrown together, people die, and everyone moves on as if nothing happened. Even after Lily is attacked she is willing to be alone, sleep alone, and go off on her own. Again and again. She is unwise, and flat. She’s just a protagonist because one was needed. She plays the game, not for the house, but to discover who murdered her mother. You get the predictable ending, and Bob’s your uncle.
