This novel started out overwhelmingly good. I was super intrigued by the story itself. Also the chapters being split into 5 acts was a fun touch. And yall know I love a campus novel.

However I thought the murder happened a bit too quickly? Kinda felt like acts 3 and 4 got a little too loosey goosey. But during act 5 I snapped back into attention.

Also not to be that guy, but isn’t this just The Secret History with Shakespeare? This book was fun and all but The Secret History is an all around better book, no contest.

Not entirely sure this is a 4 star book for me — maybe a 3.75 but eh I’m being indecisive
