Have I ever rated a book one star before? This is what I get for letting my husband choose the book lol I wanted to read a cozy mystery that had some romance and this was the book he chose.

It took me far too long to realize the reason the ‘mystery’ was so slow-going was because this was a romance with a mystery subplot. Which would have been fine if the romance was well-written but it was not. They had no chemistry, there was no build-up. They went from banging constantly to all of a sudden they’re in love—despite the fact they barely spent time with each other beyond having sex. Even when they would be thinking of or describing the other it was mostly based on their looks/body.

I was willing to give this about a 2/2.5 until I read the epilogue. I wish I ended it at the last chapter. I don’t want to give away what happens but that nonsense was so dumb and infuriating I will absolutely not be reading the rest of the series nor do I recommend Indigo Ridge to anyone.
