I'm not sure if I'm disapointed or not.
I've read my share of taboo-topic books and this for sure was the most tame one I've read so far. It doesn't mean it's bad, just underwhelming after what I've read in the past.
The characters were likable, plot good and the struggles seemed genuine. The plot was fast paced and we didn't stay for long to dwell on different scenes, which left the reading experience at times very surface level. There definitely were adorable moments that made me smile.
An easy read with good writing. The spice started off amazing and then went down for me after the start, very vanilla towards the end should I say.
