dnf— this book is, sadly, just terrible. the writing is awful. the characterizations are horrible. the characters and plot are absurd. i truly think the book takes the cake for actual worst book i have ever read. this book was recommended to me as an “if you liked red white and royal blue, you’ll love this!” which, after about a third of this book, i’m realizing is an insult to rwrb. i am shocked at some of these reviews praising this book; it genuinely feels like a terrible wattpad fic i would’ve read at 13 but don’t have the stomach for anymore. this book was an absolute waste of the $10.50 i bought it for— at least it was used and not new. but i understand why the previous owner sold it back. just awful.
