I put this off. It's plague plus Cinderella. Plague plus Cinderella!
The imagery can be whatever you want it to be so long as everyone has chips in their arms and some people have mechanical parts. I put it off thinking it was cyperpunk, steampunk, intergalactic, or a generic sci-fi. I was wrong to not read this as soon as it came out: plague plus Cinderella.
