The Twilight Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko

3.0

3 stars may be a little harsh and doesn't convey how much I enjoy this series, but I don't think it's quite as good as The Night Watch, which was definitely a 4 star. Like the previous novels The Twilight Watch is split into three parts which, while quite distinctive tales in themselves, form a larger story, and this really lends to making it an easy read.

The story is told from the perspective of Night Watchman, Anton Gorodetsky, hero of the first novel, but also features Edgar from The Day Watch, which I was very pleased about. It also gets a little more down to fairytale type stuff with witches and werewolves which is a nice change.

I look forward to reading The Last Watch, but I will be sad that it is the last one. There could easily be so many more!
