Cate C. Wells has some kind of insane hold on me at the moment. I’m not sure what she puts in her writing but I am 100% hooked. This story wasn’t perfect but omg I had a good time. I am also a sucker for the black cat and golden retriever dynamic which this book had in spades.

Cash is one of the biggest, if not the biggest himbo I’ve ever read about, goddamn he was stupid and it was so ridiculously endearing. He pines for Glenna so hard and it just added to the hilarity of it all and also made it impossible for me not to love him. I also liked Glenna’s character. She was a bit of a wallflower but she really grew a backbone over the course of the book and totally made Cash work for it which I really appreciated. I can’t decide if I love this more than the previous book or not but either way it’s a five star read.

I would recommend it if you love a huge himbo, a lot of grovelling and a bucketload of pining.
