Crisanta Knight: Into the Gray by Geanna Culbertson

5.0

Crisa has a very thin line to tread. She knows how easy it would be to turn evil, but can't protect her friends and her kingdom if she doesn't fully embrace her powers. With everyone around her giving opposing advice, it's very hard to do what is best!
First of all, I'm so happy that the prologue gives such a great reminder of what happened so far in the series as it has been a while since I read the previous book.
I like how Crisa's friend group has expanded over time, though I must admit I still feel suspicious of some of them sometimes. But it is interesting how all the characters bring something different to the group and also how they see Crisa differently and bring out certain aspects of her own character. I'm not keen on romance in books but here the emphasis is on friendship first, which I really love. There does seem to be a growing relationship between Crisa and Daniel, though I'm not sure it's leading to anything good!
Reading this felt very vivid, sometimes almost like watching a movie in my head. There are so many different lands, all so distinct and magical. I don't know how Geanna does it, her imagination must be boundless!!!
