King of Greed by Ana Huang

3.0

King of Greed is the third book of the Kings of Sin series, and I was so ready for this book after I devoured the first two books of the series. This entire series was a stand-out hit for me, so I knew going in that I would enjoy this one. King of Greed focuses on the marriage in-crisis trope between Alessandra Davenport and Dom Davenport. Unfortunately, I didn't love this one as much as the first two books. I kept waiting for the plot to get really good and thicken, but it was filled with cheesy groveling and moments of passion that felt unnecessary. I felt there were way too many communication issues and trust issues that dragged this one out, way longer than it needed to be. I wanted them to see how much they truly cared and meant for one another.

Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to see Ale and Dom reignite their love and passion. Overall, the book was good - I just wanted more. The idea was great..just needed more defined direction and character development. I'm hoping Xavier's book will knock it out of the park!

Also, what is up with that Vampire Diaries moment...
