See, the thing about the first volume that made it decent was that, despite all the gore, there was enough of the normal people shown, with their emotions, struggles, relationships. You sympathized with them and these little inserts made each outburst of violence even more.. uncomfortable and shocking.

This is just gore and sex for the sake of gore and sex.
