Power Play Rivals is the second book in the Puckered Hearts series. And this book starts off with a bang……a finger one in a crowded bar. Trent bet Piper her could have her seeing stars in less that 5 minutes and he did it in 1. Trent has that alpha daddy energy and I was eating it up.  Piper is a tough as nails sports agent that doesn’t take any BS from anyone. She has a ridiculous huge wall around her heart that she uses to protect herself from being hurt again. Trent is the GM of the Boston Guardians and several of Pipers clients are on the Guardians. The prologue set me up for heartbreak, and all the twist and turns that happened to get there. This book has spice and not just bland spice, panty melting spice. But the real star is the story, I laughed, I cried a few times(don’t judge me) and celebrated for them.  I devoured this in one day and now I hope I don’t have to wait too long for Penalty to the Heart.
