Charley's Christmas Wolf by C.D. Gorri
3.0
*I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only*
‘Don’t think of Twilight. Don’t think of Twilight. JACOB. FFS.’
It was a brilliant introduction to the series. A fun quick read where a lot happened, great likable characters who made me laugh. Loved the beginning circumstance although second-hand embarrassment was 100% felt.
I won’t lie though, I didn’t take to Charley as much as I would have liked at first; she was the classic clumsy loveable, working a dead-end job, ‘she’s different to most girls’ kinda girl y’know? And I just felt like the fast pace in scenarios (although I know the timeline was pretty close) was just a little unrealistic (a werewolf story being unrealistic? Really?) and rushed.
Besides that, a fab read and C.D. Gorri has got me wanting more!
