Persuasion by Jane Austen

1.0

While Austen is certainly a master of words, she is an abuser of sentences that become entire paragraphs. You often have to look back in order to know where you've found yourself.

The story begins itself with a man re-reading his favourite book that maps out his family tree. Yes. That's his favourite book.

As a person who enjoys fantasy/adventure books, this novel is hell, if hell is static and not at all an exciting-albeit brutal, firestorm.

The highlight was a girl cracking her head on the pavement, unfortunately it was the only highlight.
