this was such a book! it's written in a super casual tone which kind of threw me off in certain parts. parts also felt unfinished/confused me (like the hawks and the body?) but i liked it! the creativity and magicalness sometimes reminded me of something i would write when i was a kid (not in a bad way). 2 quotes that resonated with me..
"What if I leave, and it turns out this town is the best place there is? What if I go out there and I'm too small for the rest of the world? What if I can never come back, and everything out there is too much, and there's no place for me at all?"
