I have never laughed so much in a horror book in my life. This was insane. It's my first Jeff Strand book, and I am certainly going to read and listen to more. I haven't read the print version, but Joe Hempel is absolutely amazing in the audio.
I've never seen the movie, but now it's on my list. This is a novelization of the film, and it is horribly fantastic. Is it horror? Yeah, I guess. Is it a comedy? ABSOLUTELY!
While there might not be a lot of character/world-building, it's completely unnecessary. I loved this book and will be on the lookout for more. And Joe Hempel is a fantastic narrator.
