An amazing, heartfelt book but if I'm honest I would never read this again, and if I knew how sad it would be I would have probably not picked this up.
The characters ranged from strongly likeable to absolutely unbearable, but despite it all I found myself rooting for Mungo, James and Jodie. The loss of innocence which is slowly developed as this book continues is such a good contrast to the initial naïve nature of Mungo. This was such a difficult read and if you are planning on starting it, definitely look at the trigger warnings in depth because I was not prepared.
The ending was so so beautiful 😭 I really hope that Mungo eventually left with James, but I like that it was left up to interpretation so that you could either see it as an optimistic ending or a depressing ending where Mungo stays where he is. God this book wrecked me
