Wow this is a deeply emotional and important read!
While I felt like some of the issues that were written about on the back of the book (the fathers fear to be deported) were more second thought than important to the story it’s such a good read.
Does anything really happen? No but that’s amazing I love a good character driven story.
And I love a real story that while not having a “happy ending” has a realistic ending and shows the struggles of Lily instead of romanticizing them.
