I have really mixed feelings towards this book. The writing and story was good but then there were too many and too over the top sex scenes which were totally not needed.

The book began good and I was really enjoying it until about half way through. The part in the book at the hotel room completely ruined the story for me.

The hotel scene was absolutely ridiculous. I understand that Maya Banks was trying to get across the loyalty of the characters and blah blah blah but it was just seedy and awkward and not very believable. Why would someone go along with getting naked and tied up in front of a group of men she has never met? I actually found that part of the book cringey and made it hard for me to carry on with the story.

All in all the characters were well written and likable to a certain extent but that one issue just stuck with me throughout the rest of the story. It is unlikely that I will read the other books in the Breathless series.
