I loved Clare Vanderpool's book Moon Over Manifest. This book was harder to follow due to the complex nature of Early Auden. Early is obsessed with pi (3.14) and sees the digits of this irrational number as colors, patterns and textures. The story Early concocts about pi is just one of a handful of story lines running through this book. The stories connect and interconnect. Various characters in this story are just tangible reflections of Early's story. I am not sure how I feel about this book. I am going to have to think about it and mull it over. In my opinion, those are the ones worth reading.
