The Soul Catcher by Rowanne S. Carberry

2.0

Jemma can touch someone's skin and see a vision of their death. Because of this for the last ten years she's lived a mundane life and does everything she can to avoid touching people. While walking home, she accidentally sees a vision of a woman getting murdered and tries and fails to warn the woman. Thinking she should try and put the murderer behind bars, Jemma reaches out to the police station about her visions and ends up part of a supernatural police force.

I really enjoyed the idea of this book, but The Soul Catcher just fell a bit flat for me? I honestly think this book would have benefited immensely from more substance. The love interests wouldn't have seemed too rushed and the plot would have been able to be better explained. I would really enjoy to see a full length novel with this plot, but less of the passing out and throwing up that the heroine does.

I'm assuming with that ending that more will come? The ending was left decently open for more to come.

I give it about 2.5 stars because it was interesting enough for a novella, but really would have benefitted immensely with a full length book.
