It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover is the first real romance book I’ve read in a long, long time and she didn’t disappoint.
This book makes you FEEL things, your heart breaks for Lily, she grows up in an abusive household as a child, her father would beat her mother a lot.
She meets a homeless boy called Atlas who her father beats up and she doesn’t see him again until he’s an adult when he was her first love!
She meets Ryle and falls for him, expecting him to be this amazing guy, but he in turn abuses her, and she forgives him and forgives him.
Lily realises that her mother was stupid, because as much as someone hurts you if you love them you’ll forgive them no matter how much it hurts.
