Romances with a twist are some of my favorites, and romantic suspense is one of my go-tos. UNLOCKING FEAR, the first book in the Keys To Love series by author Kennedy Layne, has all of the elements of a sexy small town romance, with plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting.

The mystery, the whodunit and why aspects of this book were enough to draw me in and keep me reading. Kennedy does a nice job of throwing out plenty of red herrings to keep the reader guessing, and the blossoming romance between Reese and Noah is naughty enough for the folks looking for their romance. I didn't really realize that this book ended in a cliffhanger, and, while I'm fine with that, if you're not a fan of cliffies, consider yourself forewarned.

At this point, I am invested enough to want to continue with the next book to see where Kennedy goes with the story, so that earns UNLOCKING FEAR 4 stars from me. I would recommend this book for fans of romantic suspense, or anyone that enjoys a mystery with their romance.
