Trick Shot by Kayla Grosse

3.0

There's no denying that Trick Shot is a story with minimal plot and heavy spice. It consists of essentially 10% plot and 90% smut. You are not going to like this novella if that's not your thing. However, if you enjoy steamy scenes and aren't too concerned about a complex storyline, then Trick Shot may be the perfect read for you. I will admit that I did get a little lost in all the spicy scenes, and I found myself skimming several parts. I think that this novella was possibly not long enough to convey the full complexity of the story and its characters satisfyingly. I feel that it could have benefited from being a full-length novel, to reach its potential. I will admit that I did get a little lost in the spice and found myself skimming several parts. I did start this while I was in a reading slump, and I feel that it may have influenced my overall experience with the book. In other words, it's probably the reason I didn't like this book much. However, I agree that the author's writing style was engaging and the story had moments I loved. I can understand why some people might enjoy this spicy novella, despite my reservations.
