Though clearly written with a different demographic in mind (female, 30s, yuppie) this book interested me enough for me to finish it. I wouldn't say I liked any of the main characters, so it was hard to care too much about what happened to them.
Kinda strange that I had just finished reading "The Sundial" by Shirley Jackson which is mentioned briefly in the book and I am a fan of Doris Lessing's writing (also mentioned). There aren't a lot of titles or authors that the protagonist talks about so it felt like a weird coincidence.
