This one burned in such a good way! It felt like a metaphor for how hard we, as women (and women of color), have to fight to survive this world. We have to fight against misogyny, societal and sexist expectations, and, unfortunately, each other. Even in 2024 we have to fight for our place in this world and are still pitted against each other in competition when we should be working together and only competing against our inner selves to be better badasses.

Though having the "deadly" competition plot wasn't new, this one felt fresh and exciting, and infuriating, in a good way.  It was tense, twisted, and thrilling. It just worked, while blending tangible characters with a little bit of wildness and chaos, and fiction with modern day issues, and Ready or Not (movie) vibes. I loved everything about it!
