Honestly, I’m so torn between giving the book two or three stars. To begin with, I liked it until I reached like 80% of the book, that last ordeal, I don’t know about it.
What I liked most about the book, definitely is Annika, she was sweet and even naive, but she always stood her ground on regarding her family, even though she got to growth and develop thanks to her relationship with Creigthon, for me, he always push, push and push until se gave, not reciprocating unless she was in danger or he felt threatened.
Creighton, I liked him at the start and most of the book, what he went through wasn’t easy, and learning about his past and the people that were involved in it. Nonetheless, I ended the book feeling neutral about him and seeing him as a coward for being so reluctant to let go of the past when he literally has everything in life like a loving family and girlfriend.
Regarding the plot, it was entertaining and what you would expect from a story with such topics like this, though the sex scenes became too repetitive, I wish we had for growth from Creighton
