I loved this book! I was lucky enough to get this book as an ARC, thank you C.J. Sweet! It was a good, old fashioned wolf-shifter romance with lots of spice and an MMC who doesn't like to be told no. There was a lot of world-building, and introductions to the characters, which is pretty typical for the first book in a series or duology. I fell in love with the characters immediately! The FMC, Alaina, is a sassy, strong-willed she-wolf who likes to push boundaries. The MMC, Dax, is the bossy king of wolves who isn't used to push back, especially not from someone who's supposed to be his mate. Their different dynamics made for some really good banter and tension, but you also get to see them open up to each other and find the love that mates are always meant to have. I DEVOURED Part 1 up, finished it in pretty much one day, and of course it leaves off on a cliffhanger!! Can't wait to see what's to come in Part 2!
