A great balance of humor, swoon, wholesome, and heartwarming story! This second book is just as engaging as the first book with the way the dynamics of the characters are shown throughout the story. I just live for every scene that shows the whole gang and family. Every interaction filled with their antics were my most favorite parts! After reading the first book, I was already looking forward for Jennie and Garrett's story and all I'm going to say is that I just need a Garrett in my life. You know those fictional men who make make your standards higher? I think Garrett is one of those.  Seriously, I think he's an epitome of a perfect green flag boyfriend. He's just so understanding and caring not only to Jennie but also as a brother and a son. He is so incredibly patient and I admire that. What I love about most is that both Jennie and Garrett sort of present a certain persona to other people but they show a certain side of themselves that nobody else knows except when they show that side to each other. That sort of intimacy that is not remotely sexual is something that I really like about their relationship. Despite how much of their relationship really progressed through physical attraction with each other, I also really love those moment  that show their emotions and vulnerability. I love how their relationship naturally progressed from being friends to best friends which then sparked into something more. I understand and feel so much for Jennie. Having felt like being hidden by the shadow of your sibling is something I have in common with Jennie. Her journey to realizing her worth and being enough was such a realistic and moving journey in the way that it shows that no matter how much you convince yourself that you're enough, there will be forces in the world that would continue to shatter that confidence, however, having someone push you to become better and having someone believe in your capabilities really does help a lot in that whole journey and I am glad that Garrett was that person for Jennie. Their chemistry is on FIRE and I'm in love with the way they love each other. I enjoyed reading this and this is the first book in this series that made me cry :") Istg found family elements are my weakness and I ugly cried during THAT scene ;*) Gonna be reading book three and I cannot wait to read Adam's story next!
