First things first, THIS IS NOT A HOCKEY ROMANCE, it’s briefly mentioned here and there but isn’t a main plot.

I wholeheartedly liked this book more than the first, I technically don’t remember much from the first book other than the crumbs I got from this but it was sweet and spicy, the plot kept it interesting and the setting was different than most books.

The friendships in this book were freaking adorable, I need a Xander book immediately with his overdramatic self. Although the book mainly took the characters away from campus all the characters from the first book in the series do pop up and it works in an organic way I love this little found family, Russ going to jj for brotherly advice was too cute.

The character flaws made the mcs seem relatable and the way they complement the other and reassure them throughout working through their “daddy issues” was nice.
