I’ve made my way through a couple of different mass market urban fantasy series (Anita Blake, Jane Yellowrock, Mercy Thompson) and this is about what you would expect from any of their later books. As a first in a series though it was a bit weak. I bought the first three all at once though so I’ll be reading through at least book 3 to see if I wanna commit to the full series.
