Us Against You by Fredrik Backman
2.0
I truly considered not finishing this book 5 or 6 times. It felt so forced, unnecessarily political, imagery was rare, and descriptive detail was lacking. The first half was truly dreadful. This story went from small town sports and drama in book one, to an analysis of politics and how they influence business. That’s not what I was looking for out of this series, or what book one led me to expect. By the second half, things improved. Still not great, but the only reason I finished and am giving two stars. There was romance, drama, emotional moments, and a couple tear jerking sentiments. These are the things we expected from this series, and thankfully continue into book 3.
